Bí Cineálta – Preventing and Addressing Bullying Behaviour
De La Salle College Waterford is committed to the principles of kindness, respect and inclusion.
Our school’s Bí Cineálta Policy outlines how we prevent and address bullying behaviour in line with the Department of Education’s 2024 procedures.
Students, parents and staff all play a vital role in creating a school environment where everyone feels safe, valued and supported.
We have also developed a student-friendly version of our policy, written in accessible language to help students understand what bullying is, how to get help, and what supports are available.
If you would like to report any alleged incident or concern relating to bullying behaviour involving a student or students of De La Salle College Waterford please use the 'Report Bullying' tab below
All reports are treated in confidence and reviewed by the Anti-Bullying Liaison Person in line with the school’s Bí Cineálta Policy.
Resources for Parents
To support parents in understanding and engaging with the Bí Cineálta procedures, a range of resources are available. These include guidance documents, informational sessions, and materials designed to assist in recognising and addressing bullying behaviour. These resources can be accessed through the Department of Education’s website.
